Vote early and vote often.

I am so glad.

I awoke this morning and like a lot of people turned on the TV to watch coverage of the storm in the North East. Fox News and the Weather Channel had good coverage of the storm, as I went through the other channels such as CNN, MSNBC, CBS etc they had coverage of 0bama, how he was up all night getting updates on the storm and how it could be so much worse if he had not been on top of it.
I am so glad we have such unbiased news services to relay to us the real story.

I could not help but think I wish 0bama had been up all night getting updates on the Libya attack, maybe we would have not had dead Americans over there.
Oh well I guess his priority was preparing for a fund raiser and the Letterman show.

Made it back

I made it home after a few days away.
Little towns are pleasant and offer a chance to get away from the bustle for a while.  You can always tell a little town because they don't have the money to replace their police cruisers quite as often, anyway I need to check around the blogs as I had no internet service for the last few days.
Hope you enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Sign for the times.

I am away for a few days tucked in a small Florida town, the internet service is pretty poor so I don't know how often I can check in on the blogs so bear with me. Anyway I was sent a picture of this sign and thought it was worth sharing.

Sean Kedzie
Early  Friday morning, October 19th,  Sean Kedzie was awakened by noises outside his residence in Whitewater Wisconsin.
As he went to see what the fuss was about, he noticed an individual removing a Romney/Ryan yard sign from his yard, he yelled to the person to stop. The individual did stop however, a second person attacked Sean from the shadows without warning.
Sean was wrestled to the ground by both persons, held down by a constricting choke-hold, and struck repeatedly about the face and head. He nearly passed out from the choke-hold and suffered contusions to his face and eyes.
An alert neighbor heard the commotion, scared the individuals away, and called the police.
Lesson here? don't go outside in a situation like this without a gun and always be aware of your surroundings.

It strikes me that 0bama voters seem as compassionate and tolerant as Muslims.

Automatic Weapons, Just to be clear.

During the presidential debate the other night there was some discussion about automatic weapons, so I will clear it up.
Pictured at right is an automatic weapon. When it is loaded and you cock the hammer the cylinder automatically rotates. When the trigger is pulled it automatically fires, when the hammer is cocked again the cylinder automatically rotates again and  when the trigger is pulled it automatically fires.....again.
This procedure will automatically fire all six rounds.
In 1873 this was a state of the art military weapon. When the second amendment was written all anyone had was single shot, muzzle loading guns. It could have been argued that no civilian "needed" a weapon to fire six shots this rapidly. It fired self contained cartridges, no need to load a wad and powder and a ball down the muzzle before an ignition source was deployed (cap or flint)
Here is the trap we fall in when we let the liberals tell us what the second amendment means and what it was intended for. In 1873 if they had a liberal government this gun could have been banned because it serves no hunting purpose, it was designed to fire six shots as quick as possible and could be reloaded in less time than a muzzle loading rifle which was a single shot. Fortunately they understood the second amendment was given to allow citizens the ability to protect themselves from tyrannical government, the founding fathers did not want government bullying the citizens, this was our whole reason for independence. This makes some uncomfortable and it should make government uncomfortable.......government should be afraid of the citizens, it keeps them righteous,  but they are not. They have run roughshod over our rights and freedoms and are striving to make us powerless to do anything about it.
A man in shackles can run his mouth and claim 'freedom of speech' but armed citizens are the only thing stopping the government from establishing total control.

The Goat Herders aren't Happy

The Muslims aren't happy, in fact the are rioting and/or protesting everywhere you look. Even this pathetic administration now admits it has nothing to do with a video on the internet.

As a side note I always wondered why they were so miserable until I was in Iraq, they live in basically mud houses with no A/C, their women aren't so hot (well actually they are hot but only because of what they have to wear)
They don't drink beer, (not that you have to in order to be happy but just saying) it is well over 100 degrees in the shade, dust storms so bad it will choke a donkey and to be honest I would not be too happy in a culture where men wanted to hold hands (I know I'm weird) and I guess I would be cranky if I had to watch the westerners eat bacon and barbecue pork and I couldn't have any to either.
I guessing they don't like the new McRib sandwich
I am sure they are pretty ticked off because they have never contributed anything to making the world a better place and when 0bama insists on saying they have contributed greatly it is like salt in the wound.
On the other hand they seem content living in the West but they want to blame all their woes on us. Maybe the Democrat's philosophy has rubbed off on them which is, "If we ain't happy we wont stop till everyone else is equally miserable"
Now that I think about it they have been fighting over there for thousands of years so I'm thinking maybe the Democrats got that philosophy from them.........Hmmm, maybe they have contributed more than I give credit for.

Thanks and Welcome

I spent almost the entire weekend on my motorcycle, the weather was great down here in Florida. I attended a meeting of the Combat Vets in Chiefland Fl and then did the Wall Escort on Sunday  from Inverness to Crystal River.
Motorcycle riders rely on hand signals to communicate with each other while riding so I thought I would offer some of those here for those of you who are interested and also for my friend Stephen who just recently showed a renewed interest in riding again.

I'm starting to like Roseanne

I got my absentee ballot in the mail the other day and was surprised to see  Roseanne Barr and Cindy Sheehan were on the ballot as running mates.
I think this is great, I am sure they will siphon off some wacko vote from 0bama.
Yea Roseanne, you go girl.

Folk School

Saturday we went to the John C Campbell Folk School, they were having their 39th annual festival. It is a school which is dedicated to teaching and preserving the old traditions of the Appalachian mountain people. The school has classes through out the year and teaches many crafts like, pottery, painting, music, instrument making, dance, blacksmith, broom making, basket weaving, quilting, rug making and the list goes on.
The school is in a farm community in the south part of North Carolina in Brasstown.
I'm guessing there was between 4,000 and 5,000 present. there was stages set up around the grounds with music and dance as well as booths selling mountain crafts and demonstrations of all kinds.

You Know What I Despise ?

Safety warnings, I hate them, they insult my intelligence.  I don't need a sign telling me hot coffee will burn me. This is why we have parents, to teach us common sense.
I wish after McDonalds had the law suit against them for the hot coffee incident they had filed a counter suit against the parents of the plaintiff because they raised an idiot.
What I see when I read safety warnings is, "Bless your little heart, you are just so stupid so we will spell it out for you"
I have a Ruger revolver in 44 mag that had the Adobe "read me file" on the barrel so I turned it down to remove it, it looks so much better, like a gun is supposed to look. If you have to have a safety warning let it say in the owners manual, "If you are too stupid this will kill or injure you" end of warning.
Why would a person see a power saw cut wood or steel and not realize it will cut your fingers off. If a person does not have the mental capacity to operate machinery do you really think they have the mental capacity read and understand a warning?
I tend to believe we play God by issuing safety warnings, did God put a sign or hand rail on a cliff to stop people from falling off ?  No he intended for us to either have common sense and make good choices or have parents to protect us when we were children.
In the same vein I think instructions in this country should be printed in English only, If I was in Germany I would expect instructions in German only.
If I had my way the only Spanish (or any other language) in the instructions would be " These instructions are in English, if you cant read them you stand a good chance of being maimed or killed"
I love freedom and don't need the government mandating safety warnings via OSHA or any other agency. I also realize companies print warnings to protect from law suits however this is the product of our government run schools indoctrination centers that teach kids nothing is your fault it's the big evil companies who are endangering you. I have a novel idea, lets teach kids if you step out in front of a car you will get run over and killed, but no, we put flashers on school buses to stop traffic so kids learn they are so important everyone will cater to them.... and you really wonder how we have raised a generation of self centered people who think like the Occupy Wall Street crowd.
I don't prescribe to a lot of conspiracy theories however I do think there is a plan via the government brainwashing centers to breed a whole generation of government dependents who think they belong to government and the government always knows best. I guess the next election will reveal if we have reached the tipping point and the government has created enough dependents and non-thinkers to gain total control.

This will be interesting.

Yesterday there was a shooting at a VFW in Winter Springs Florida.
I don't think there are many details yet but there apparently are 2 dead and police confiscated a bunch of weapons. It will be interesting to find out the whole story. It appears one or two gunmen went into the VFW and started shooting, not a smart move I think. I have been around a lot of these vets and a great number carry concealed weapons.
