The angle also contributes to much longer target life than other AR500 targets I've shot. Thanks for the review!Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11771911866674862528noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2244590063851118977.post-91630541929069846612013-05-30T16:56:31.698-04:002013-05-30T16:56:31.698-04:00MuddyValley, It is true that in the area you indic...MuddyValley, It is true that in the area you indicate it would allow for a ricochet (I guess any deflection off the target is technically a ricochet) but given the target does not hang vertical but rather approx 25 degrees off vertical the round still deflects down and into the ground and that angle of rebound most of the energy is scrubbed from the round.Dukehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04775363118892957212noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2244590063851118977.post-30467198229471431942013-05-30T11:22:49.556-04:002013-05-30T11:22:49.556-04:00There is still an area immediately above, below, a...There is still an area immediately above, below, and in line with the hinge, small though it is, that would allow a ricochet. A hit there would be the same as if the target were locked vertical.MuddyValleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13561027881611420247noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2244590063851118977.post-18199230570256797612013-05-22T08:46:15.855-04:002013-05-22T08:46:15.855-04:00Senior, I will definitely bring it back to the ran...Senior, I will definitely bring it back to the range and do a follow up.Dukehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04775363118892957212noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2244590063851118977.post-49880482796805670142013-05-22T08:44:42.449-04:002013-05-22T08:44:42.449-04:00Old NFO, Thanks. In order to lock it in the vertical the pivot bolt would have to be very tight because it naturally hangs at a an angle and does a good job of 'scrubbing energy' from the round.Dukehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04775363118892957212noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2244590063851118977.post-82582786634319259192013-05-21T22:15:48.403-04:002013-05-21T22:15:48.403-04:00Since things didn't work out, bring it out nex...Since things didn't work out, bring it out next time and let us do a Part Deux to the first one.
