Iraq and after that was sent to the MEF and did anything they did from convoys to security work.Dukehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04775363118892957212noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2244590063851118977.post-54457389476749963302011-10-04T21:21:22.216-04:002011-10-04T21:21:22.216-04:00Excellent posts. It was quite humorous when my Mom called me and said she had joined up and would be in a construction battalion and that she wouldn't have to go overseas(according to the recruiter). I laughed and asked her if she knew what a C.B. was and had she ever seen the movie the "Fighting Seabees." she said yes and then I said, "hey Mom, get it, C...B... then there was a long pause. "Ohhhhh" she said. "I guess she'll be going to the desert" "Yep, Mom" Sure enough, a year later she was in the sandbox building a base.Hillbillyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09008726043561193992noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2244590063851118977.post-32060824146779735522011-10-04T20:14:41.805-04:002011-10-04T20:14:41.805-04:00Odysseus, we used sandbags at first like they did ...Odysseus, we used sandbags at first like they did in WWII and Viet Nam, our experience was while they worked good for rifle rounds and IED turned them into shrapnel.Dukehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04775363118892957212noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2244590063851118977.post-10590378338831926232011-10-04T19:40:27.145-04:002011-10-04T19:40:27.145-04:00+1 on kymber's thank you for serving.
