Decisions.

I finally completed my tax return and for the first time in a few years did not have to pay in any extra. I had to decide if I wanted to leave my refund for the government to keep and use wisely (apply to next year) or get a refund check.
I hate hard choices, I mean after all the government desperately needs money for 0bama phones and other critical expenses so I had to pick between letting 0bama hold my money or myself spending it on things I need............That decision took all of two seconds.

  1. shame on you.

Without your extra "fair share" contribution, how will we pay for his gas to go golfing with celebrities and have White House concerts. Selfish.

  3. Like you I had a small refund, just a tad over a grand. Sadly, since I must pay quarterly taxes I had them spread it equally over the next four quarters thereby easing the burden and hassle of four trips to the post office this year. Besides, I like to hide in plain sight.

    1. I might have done the same if I had to make quarterly payments but they take it out of my check before I get a chance to even smell it.

  4. No need to think about making a decision to that question.

    1. No, any time I can keep my money from the giverment the better off I am.

  7. Took that long to decide? Any year I get a refund I consider it a failure. I’d rather owe them and the check doesn’t go into the mail until the last minute either.

    1. Wilson, that is exactly the way I usually operate but I have also had an 'under payment' penalty in the past.
