Harry, this time I was driving through on my way to Missouri but I have spent a lot of time around Gulfport in the past, not much different than Fla. in the pan handle.
I never enjoy what others call a road trip. When you get back, we'll be heading for Indiana. I hate traveling, and I just want to hear how well you and yours "enjoyed" it.
Lotta Joy, I do enjoy traveling for a short time (a few days) but only if I am not in a hurry which I was not this time. I enjoy stopping along the way to check out new sights.
I think you nailed my problem. Joe drives like we've got two hours to get there even when it's 860 miles. (Indiana) And my stress is unbearable. It's hard to enjoy what feels like a high speed death march.
I am still on the road for a few more days, visiting family and taking a break.
