Who cares ?

This case over George Zimmerman shooting some thug (or any similar case for that matter) doesn't bother me too much.
I was always taught (and taught my kids) if you hang around with thugs and act like a thug sooner or later it would catch up with you. From all we know about Trayvon Martin he was a 'gangsta' or one in the making, so it appears to have caught up with him. His mother had sent him to his fathers because she was having trouble with him so it seems he was not as innocent as they make out now.
I just believe things tend to work some ways for a reason, who knows if he had lived he may have turned into a major drug dealer, killer or thief, if not already. I think of it as a retroactive or preventative justice. Bottom line is I believe you do bad things and sooner or later you pay the price.
I don't know all facts in this case and it appears there was blame on both sides but one thing I have learned is life is not always fair and certain actions seem to accelerate the 'unfairness'

Those of you who have kids at home should use this as a teaching moment and explain to them the dangers of hanging around and acting like this. It may seem cool to them but leads to a dead end life or death.
It would be better to explain to your kids the dangers rather than letting them wear hoodies to school to protest like some idiot principal in Delaware did. (and we scratch out heads and wonder why the school system is broke.)

I leave you with a John Wayne quote which sums this up perfectly.

  1. Good post. This whole thing is a screwed up deal. I will change an old saying--"There seems to be 'something' in the wood pile!"

  2. That picture is not of the Trayvon Martin who was killed. Using it damages your point, which I completely agree with, btw.

  5. We can only care about this since there are no other issues in the world. No hunger, poverty, unemployment, etc.
I haven't seen this kind of media push since Bin Laden was killed, so obviously this must be important.
    What a crock.

    1. Yea, kind of my point, aren't there bigger issues to be concerned with ?

  6. I think it's important here to remember the bigger picture, because we're all being played here.

    1. The New Black Panthers have been treated with a gloves OFF approach; they do and say what they want and are allowed to get away with it.

    2. The black politicians along with the black preachers have been spouting off their hate speak for a couple of week now.

    3. The prez has spoken his racist speak just a few days ago.

    4. The story about the two blacks setting fire to that non-black kid was largely ignored.

Does anyone remember last August when a report came out stating that O-Hole would use race baiting and riot incitement before the next election?

I think this is it. Stir up the blacks just so they'll vote for him again.

Sure the whole 2nd Amendment issue plays into all this via the "stand your ground" laws.

But ultimately it is a side show to distract us. If they can get any mileage out of this they will, but I'm convinced that it's not their main thrust. Consider that with the way Congress has given up much of it's power to the prez and the way he simply just ignores them otherwise and writes his executive orders, ALL he really needs to do is declare martial law and then suspend the Constitution after the next election. Therefore the gun control aspects of all this mess is nothing but a sideshow carnival distraction to keep us busy. Before this it was the attack on Rush Limbaugh and the "war on women". Before that it was the "imminent" attack on Iran by Israel that never happened.

Nothing but distractions. One after the other after the other.

The only issue here worth paying attention to is the race baiting by "their" side.

I've decided that the only blame that needs assigned to Zimmerman was the fact that he was out there with no backup/witness. This would have prevented Martin from jumping him and thus the shooting. I see a man who was tired of the crime in his neighborhood and had the brass to try and do something about it. He had every right to be out there, just as Martin did. But once again this is part of the distraction.

Even if he was 100% wrong, I'll never throw in with a party who has these idiots/bigots on their side. Period.

But as far as your rest of your points... All true.

Show me your friends and I'll show you your future. Martin ended up with a very short one.

  7. Good points, BTW I don't worry much about the New Black Panthers either, they are a bunch of gutless wonders, they only throw their weight around where they know people won't or can't fight back.

  8. Duke see my post late yesterday about the 7 black kids who beat a Hispanic kid. Don't hear about that one did we???

  9. A comment I saw on the interwebs this weekend:

One of the morals of this story is never show up at a gun fight with a bag of skittles...

  11. If there were no witnesses, how can you truelly make and intelligent judgement on this situation.. On either side... All sides sound racist as hell

    1. A lot of truth is coming out and we will see. The side doing all the protesting wants justice but only what they have predetermined to be right. Will they be happy if Zimmerman is let off because he was proven right???? Somehow I doubt it. Thus the reason I don't care what they think.
