Shooting in NY City

I read where a gunman shot an killed two people in NY near the Empire State Building today. Apparently the 53 year old fashion designer was a little ticked off over being fired a year ago.
NY needs some stricter gun laws, what they have apparently aren't working very well or maybe the shooter wasn't aware it was against the law to shoot up the town. Maybe if someone had given him a hug today he would be fine.

Don't mind me I'm trying to get in touch with my more gentle side.

  1. Coming from the tinfoil hat line of thought, I question the timing. One day after a judge releases a Marine falsely accused and detained without cause, thus grossly violating his Constitutional rights, we conveniently have a new distraction to cover up the governments actions of against this Marine.

Yes, it sounds nuts, but so does the idea that that the Federal Government would be running guns to Mexico in an attempt to reinstate the Clinton assault weapons ban, which turned out to be true.

  2. Bless their little liberal hearts. Bet there were a lot of wet panties in New York City when the excitement died down.

  5. Do you think the shooter had a proper license to carry, and registered the said pistol with the State Of New York, and the ATF?

  8. I figured that New York would have so many shootings, it would be commonplace.

    1. HermitJim, I'm sure it is in the 'slum' areas, don't think so much in Manhattan (or wherever the Empire State Bldg is) Thanks.

  9. It just seems strange to me that the shootings recently are very timely with things that are going on with gun control.

    1. It is strange, I don't really think it is a conspiracy or else they could have come up with a better plan.

    2. Duke, I've changed my mind and agree with you on this, but I am glad that I wasn't the only one thinking along those lines to begin with.

  10. Mayor Goonberg should try implementing his gun control laws on his police officers or atleast send them to a NRA safety course and relearn the rule, "be sure of your target and what is beyond it". I think the 9 people who were wounded by the NYPD would appreciate it.

    1. Senior, it is true. I think there is a lot of way under-qualified police out there or at least under trained.
