Wedding

I promised some wedding pictures so here are a few. I don't have any official photos yet but here is a few candid shots. I may have some more later. The wedding was at an old church in downtown St Augustine which is well over 100 yrs old.
The picture to the right is my grandson, he was one of the "ring bearers" in the wedding. He walked down with his sister the flower girl. He could not keep his shoes on so he walked down the isle barefoot.
My son and I taken in the back before the ceremony
My granddaughter getting her hair attended to before the wedding
Leaving the church.

First Dance at the River House.

The day after the wedding we had a cook out at home for all the guest (family) who were still around

The cook out was in my "court yard" I filled in my swimming pool early in the year and put in brick pavers along with planters and a fountain you see in the right here.

  4. Duke, you look great for being soooo old.

I don't wanna be that guy, but...

Is the water pump in the picture functional? And if so, how far until the water table, and how is it working out for you? I'm thinking of adding a sand point well like that and could use the advice.

And please let the person with the Gator shirt on that they are "Tiger Bait" next weekend.

    Thanks.

  5. kymber, glad you enjoyed seeing them.
Rev Paul, thanks, we enjoyed it a lot even though I wouldn't want to do it real often.
Stephen, thanks, I even shaved and got a hair cut.
Mudbug, thanks, the water pump is functional it is about 30' total depth and the water table is about 20' It is mainly ornamental but it does work. I don't know if you know but water pumps like this which pump from the surface will not lift water over about 23' (this includes electric pumps) any water table past 23'-24' will require a submersible pump or some other deep well pump.

  6. Duke, I knew you had to be shallow to use the well. My groundwater is less than 10 feet, and a well like that would really help my garden for now, and the house if the time comes.

  7. Mudbug, sounds like a perfect setup for you, it's always good to have a backup. Shallow groundwater is not always the cleanest but it could still be boiled if there were concerns.

  11. MDR, Thanks, we like the back yard as well, easier to keep than the pool.
