You know what makes me sick ?

We have brave hero's who die for this country and they get a flag draped coffin and the family will get the flag along with a word of gratitude form a uniformed officer on behalf of a grateful nation.

On the other hand you get a queer basketball player announcing he is gay and the president of the United States calls him personally to thank him for his 'courage' as a 'hero'

I hope I'm not the only one this bothers.

  3. It bothers me too. We elevate all of these "professional" athletes to hero status and the true hero's are forgotten by all except a few. The way I understand about that basketball player is he was pretty much a bench warmer.

    1. Robert, I don't know his name and wouldn't know it if I heard it. Just another nameless looser.

  4. In between what you just said and the latest for the pentagon to take prayer and any message of the Lord from the soldiers who want to participate and getting rid of Chaplains in the military....this country is done.

It all makes me sick to my stomach....

    2. In the case of the man-child who defiles the White House, it must take a zero to recognize another zero.

If this president ever tried to recognize me for something I did, I would commit suicide in complete shame, since his value system is the antithesis of patriotism and morality.

  11. Well one is a bonified hero and the other is part of a protected demogaphic that heavily supports the president and his party...so guess who the campaigner in chief will support. Gotta keep the pillow biters happy, they donate money and you can't criticize them...if you do, you are a hater.

    1. MrGarabaldi, you nailed it. It is flat out despicable that a so called president would put his gain ahead of common decency.
