Easy Money

I was thinking the other day about good ways to make money and it is always wise to look at examples of how others have done it. I then started thinking the only group which seems to still be going strong is government. As I pondered this I came across an excellent idea which seems to have served the government well.

What if we started making wedding rings (along with other jewelry) out of copper and aluminum and diamonds could be made out of glass. I know some of you make think this is strange but I tell you it's brilliant. Just look at the profit, you take a ring that could be made for $2 and sell it for $2000 and it could even come with a certificate which says it is worth $2000. Now I know some will think this is unscrupulous,  falsifying values of jewelry but it has to be 100% legal and the general public is stupid enough to think it's great......I mean it's been done before when our dollar was taken off the gold standard in the 60's
Our coins at one time were made of real silver and gold and our dollars were 'certificates' which could be redeemed for silver or gold but the government decided to keep all the gold and make the money out of worthless metal and paper and tell us it was worth something.
I know the government is made up of the most brilliant minds but surly there is someone in the private sector that could make this work. 

Slavery, how little things change.

We have come a long way since slavery................or have we ?
Lets see, in 1813 slaves belonged to the master but in 2013 we belong to the government. If you don't think that's true then why do you have a government issued serial number, why do you have to have a government issued birth certificate or a government issued marriage license or driving license or passport or hunting license or concealed carry permit. Why do they force you to pay income taxes.....no you need to face the facts your butt belongs to the government. 
In 1813 slaves did not own property, today in 2013 we do not own property, you don't think so? well you just stop paying property taxes to the government and see who really owns your property.
I tell you what, stop buying a government issued tag for your car and government mandated insurance and go speeding off across country and see how long before the government takes your car, fact is you can only have what the government can control, you can't even buy a pack of gum without getting approval in the form of sales tax.
In 1813 slaves were only educated to the point they were useful to the owner, this is even more truer today. In 2013 kids are indoctrinated in the government slave owners school only to the point they become useful to the government.
The only thing that used to be different was in 1813 slaves were only given bare bones medical treatment by the master to keep them useful and productive and in 2012 we had the best medical care available however in 2013 0bama has changed that to where we are on the road to bare bones treatment and only to the point we are productive members of the government plantation, if you are too old and not worth saving you will be disposable.
I have this theory, in 1964 the Democrats were the biggest opponents of civil rights and freedom and today they are the same, they lost that fight in 1964 so they changed tactics to get control back.
It is your Constitutional right to do as much 'under the radar' as possible.

Gun Confiscation

Some of you may have seen this video but it is worth watching in light of recent events. It deals with gun confiscation in New Orleans after Katrina. The differences I see in a nation wide situation is it will be harder for authorities to cover every county, city and state without being spread very thin and therefore being extremely vulnerable. 

Watch this with the perspective of how you would react and notice the mistakes some of these made due to being caught off guard.

Independence Day, Taking Back Freedom.

Yesterday I bemoaned the fact we have lost sight of being independent. I am not against certain rules to make society pleasant for us provided they are on a local level. I believe the Federal government should be the weakest when it comes to telling us what to do. Next should be the state and then the local government being the most powerful. This ensures the most accountability and if I don't like the rules I can live in the next town or the next state or work to change the rules. We have it all backwards, the federal government violates our constitutional rights every day, for example, we are supposed to have 'freedom of religion' but they have twisted it to be 'freedom from religion' The government tells churches they can't oppose the government publicly without fear of loosing their tax exempt status (unless of course you have Jessie Jackson speaking) but fact is churches should be free to rant all they want about government injustices.
I strive to exercise my freedom in every way I can. I don't rely on government to provide for me. I take responsibility for my actions and accept the cost. I refuse to abide by stupid regulations which violate my constitutional rights. I treat others like I expect to be treated.
 It is impossible to avoid all government control but here are some ways I exercise freedom, I won't even give a disclaimer by saying 'don't try this at home' you live your own life.
My basic philosophy is as long as it doesn't hurt others then what the government doesn't know doesn't hurt them.
I am a rebel and freedom lover to the core, this is one reason I like my motorcycles. In Florida motorcycles don't have to have insurance and if I don't want to ride with a helmet then I don't, if I do want to use a helmet I do. When I rebuilt my old Harley I refused to include turn signals, I have open pipes with no muffler, why? because I wanted it that way, I had no thought to what the DMV said was legal, it doesn't bother me, I ride by cops all the time and they don't seem to want to be bothered either. Same goes for seat belts in my car or truck, if I want to use them I do, if I don't I don't.
Our state does not require guns to be registered (and if they did I hope they hold their breath waiting for me to) nevertheless I prefer to buy my firearms privately with no paperwork or forms to fill out. It is 100% unconstitutional for the government  decide if I can buy a gun. If a person commits a crime and they pay their debt to society then they should be free to buy a gun, if they murder or rape execute them. I promise they will never do it again and I can assure you crime would be way down.

I carry a gun because it is my right. I have only called the police once. Over 20 years ago someone broke into my neighbors home while they were away, instead of wasting time I grabbed 2 guns and headed out the door and got in my truck. My intent was to block their car and catch them but they sped away before I could maneuver into position. I pursued them around back streets at high speed till I had them cornered in a church parking lot only then did I call out for a neighbor to call the police (before cell phones) so they could be arrested. The car they were driving turned out to be stolen and I felt good knowing I had help retrieve it and put the criminals behind bars (incidentally one of the two thieves committed suicide a month later) anyway the point being I did not say "not my job man" I acted as a free man and did what I wish someone would do for me if my home was broken into and BTW the police officers thanked me. 
We are taxed on top of taxes for this reason I buy as much as possible on line (out of state) or privately through garage sales, flea markets, Craigslist etc to avoid sales tax, it is one small thing I can do to cut the governments funding. Bartering is another excellent way to do this. If you buy a vehicle from a private party the state charges you sales tax on the purchase when you record the title, in our state you can write "trade" (most states would be the same I guess) as the price and there is no tax. It is no business of the state what you traded and they have never asked me.
Bottom line is when I want to do something the last concern is if  the government approves. My first thought is will this harm someone else, will it hurt my neighbor, my family or friends. Next I decide if it is worth the effort and cost. For example, if I want to put new windows in my house I decide it will not hurt anyone in fact it will help keep my family safer and the cost will be offset by the savings in heating and cooling cost's. I do not care if the government wants me to get a permit and inspect the workmanship so I don't involve them. If they want to pay for the windows then they can inspect them. In fact I can post 'no trespassing' signs on the property and they can't legally enter the property without permission they can only inspect what they see from the street. Side note: The reason the local government wants you to get a permit has nothing to do with your safety or well being it is strictly to monitor upgrades to your property in order to raise your taxes, If they worried about your well being they would inspect your car after it was repaired but they can't make money off that.
When someone broke into my neighbors home I did not think "is it legal to chase and catch thieves with a gun" I acted to protect my neighbor like I thought was the neighborly thing to do. If I get in my car and don't feel like wearing a seat belt I don't but if I am on the highway and want to I do. The governments wishes are no concern of mine, I have never had a ticket for it but if I did that would be my cost for my decision as a free man.
It gets me when someone says "you know that is not legal" or "you should get a permit to do that" I look at them with a blank stare as if to say "excuse me, you obviously mistake me for someone who gives a rats rear end"   
Let me let you in on something, there is nobody in the government who goes about their daily work thinking about what you would like so I refuse to give any time or thought to what they would like.

This is not just a catchy slogan, it is the truth.

I won't totally incriminate myself but I choose to "Live Free Or Die" I am not a rampant law breaker, I respect proper laws but government has no more power over me than I allow. You have heard 'all is fair in love and war', well make no mistake we are in a war....a big war for the survival of our freedoms. I choose to live as free as possible. Government is a power hungry machine with little regard for the constitution or your freedoms. If you doubt me see what the SCOTUS did last week.

TEOTWAWKI, What I Want.

After yesterdays post even I was depressed. I tried to point out what could happen and maybe cause some to rethink their ideas.
I hope the worst does not happen, in fact I hope for the best. I would really like for us to elect true patriots who value and defend the constitution and who would overturn all the social programs except to those who are truly in need.
Personally I think they should do away with corporate tax. Corporations don't pay tax anyway they just collect it from us and pass it along to the government, what it would do however is start a stampede of business trying to get into the United States and people would have to go into hiding to avoid getting a job. Manufacturing would be back in force and government revenue would be maxed out from all the growth and spending. I would like to see the federal government loose all power except that over the military and maybe the interstate highways everything else would be controlled by the state, this is basically what the founding fathers envisioned anyway, If this would happen you would have 50 different states to move to in order to find the one that allowed you to have the freedom you desired. People who wanted tight controls over their lives would gravitate to certain locations while others would move to less restrictive states, this is the way it used to be and to a small degree it still is but the federal government can over ride the states.



I know all this may be a pipe dream and maybe it could never happen but I do see some young people speaking out so maybe there is hope. I don't really think the occupy movement is anywhere near the majority of the young people they just get the most media coverage. It took us generations to get into this mess and it may take generations to get us out. It will have to be done in small steps and that would be better than TWOTWAWKI situation as I have tried to point out. I tend to think anything is possible. In the 70's the USSR was the big bad wolf who wanted to control the world and nobody really saw a solution to them but now they are not a real threat so nothing is ever beyond hope. We just need to vote out any self-serving politicians and replace them with true patriots....one at a time.  Anyway, that is what I hope for.

Something To Think About (part 3)

These post's the last few days has taken turns I did not anticipate. The statement has been made, we need to learn from history, there are many examples, one of the most recent is Australia where the government banned certain guns and has preceded to make it harder and harder to obtain them or enjoy shooting them.
After yesterday's post I received a comment from Ausprepper He is a prepper from Australia. Unknown to him I am more than a little familiar with the gun laws in Australia and know what it used to be like.
In the late 1970's I walked into second hand (pawn) shop in Rockhampton, Queensland (Australia) and bought a 303 Lee Enfield with 100 rounds of military surplus ammo for $35. I showed no ID, filled out no paperwork and walked out the door with it. I threw it in the back seat of the car and drove out of town and found a secluded spot to test fire it,  I am still in close contact with people in Australia and know how bad it's gotten.
I felt it important for you to read some of Ausprepper's comments and have listed them here along with commentary. He said....................
"THE LIBERTY MOVEMENT IN AUSTRALIA CAN ROUGHLY BE SUMMED UP AS  A BUNCH OF BITTER OLD MEN WAITING FOR A DAY THAT WILL NEVER COME AND SLOWLY DYING OF PARANOIA INDUCED CANCER WHILE THEIR L1A1 RIFLES RUST AND ROT IN THE GROUND!"
"That's a fact! Over here it's taken only one generation for the idea of owning a 'military rifle' to have become psychotically absurd to the common jerk on the street. 95 percent of people my age cannot believe that we were allowed to own them in the first place."
 He went on to say................
"If you let them take those rifles your legacy will die. Bury them and it will rot. A slower death, but death all the same. You have to live it to know it. I pray you never do!
 The prohibition is bad, but the regulation that follow are no joke either. It's so expensive and difficult to get into "sports" shooting here in Australia that most of those initially interested don't bother. Imagine having to be fingerprinted and put permanently on file like a criminal just to own a paintball gun or air rifle. Prohibition is the gut shot, but the regulation that follows is the slow death of starvation that kills the industry. Pay a cool $1000 for a stock Glock limited to 10 shots in a mag that you can only load at a recognized and govt approved range where you can't practice anything even remotely resembling combat techniques and you'll see how appealing shooting "sports" ain't "

 This is a sober reminder of what happens when we let government start eroding our rights and this is the danger we we face when we let the government and media tell us our gun 'rights' are for hunting or sporting purposes because then it makes it easy for them to start regulating them (which they already do) They tell us we don't need an AR15 to hunt with or don't need more than 10 shots in a magazine to kill Bambi. Well maybe we don't need more firepower to hunt but we do need it to fend off evil and remain free. This is the biggest threat today, we are the biggest obstacle to those who want to control everything. 
This brings us to the point, what do we do. Well first of all, fight to keep those in office who support the Second Amendment. Secondly if it ever gets to the point of registering weapons, do not do so. I will leave this to your imagination, private party sales are impossible to track so even if you bought a new gun last year from your local gun shop and lets say you got into a bind with a house payment it is quite legal (at the moment) to to sell it as a private party sale with no paperwork. This means if the government ever went through sales records the trail would stop and they could look no further than you if  for instance you 'sold' it at a gun show. If you have a few guns try and store them in different locations especially if there is a danger search and seizure, in the existing political climate this is not as far fetched as you may think. The more trouble you make for the gun-grabbers now the harder is will be for them pursue total control. I am not telling you to break the law but rather to use the law to benefit you, at least for the moment we have that advantage but things may change......................I don't think this subject is over.

Something To Think About (part 2)

I am a thinker, I like to analyze things. I have thought long and hard about this subject and while opsec is important so is standing up and speaking out, I will try and balance it. Many talk about fighting back but it might be good to read my post's on Martial Law if you have not done so.
There was a lot of good comments yesterday, thanks to all who spoke out, a few points, I realize the the National Firearms Act of 1934 did not technically 'ban' full autos but bottom line is it registered them, which is a first step to banning and to be honest a $200 tax in 1934 (Great Depression) would be like a $20,000 tax today so it may as well be called a ban.  Many tend to think Obama does not have the support of congress for a gun ban, maybe not but what has he done in the past 3 years to make you think he won't trample the constitution or bypass it to further his agenda.
Let me state a premise, I believe the Second Amendment is the only real tool we have to ensure our other freedoms are not trampled, don't believe me...read history. I like the saying, "armed men are citizens, unarmed men are Subjects" What I am trying to say is maybe Obama can't get support to ban 'assault rifles' for example but could he say, it's OK for you to have them we just want to register them so they can be tracked and don't fall into the wrong hands. Now let's say down the road we have a lot of civil unrest and riots, killings, looting etc. because the economy collapsed (which seems almost unavoidable) how hard would it be to declare martial law and 'round up' all the 'assault' weapons to 'protect' the police and general public. At this point it would be too late for the sheeple.

Let me state another belief I have. The Second Amendment is all about government not 'controlling' us, It was not about hunting, that was not an issue of that day, it was not about protecting ourselves from murders and thieves, that was not a big issue of the day either. What was a big issue was the British wanting to control us, and to be clear we were British Subjects prior to the Declaration of Independence so it was OUR government that had been controlling us.
And so it is today, If you don't think the government want's to or is controlling us I need some of the dope you are smoking. They crave power and money and are well on the way to having it all.
Lets say for example Obama had the power to totally rewrite the Constitution and to pass any law his little heart desired, lets say he could confiscate all property and make us all Subjects, lets say he would be supreme ruler for life, he would have one big problem, armed citizens. Now I used Obama as an example but it could be any government and this fact remains, and they know it.
Tomorrow I may delve into some 'hypothetical situations' strictly for 'entertainment purposes only' We need to be thinking now about what we may do in the future so we won't get blindsided down the road.

You Know What Really Ticks Me Off

Government intrusions, I despise them. I posted a few weeks ago about it but it really gets me riled when I see how far we have let it slip.
Liberty and Freedom are words I think few people understand. We are like the frog in the pot not realizing how hot it is getting. The Constitution is so abused today the Founding Fathers would not recognize us. I get so sick of government telling us what rights we can have. How many times have you seen or heard "having a drivers license is a privilege not a right" I say WRONG, we are a representative republic and if I abide by the laws my representatives pass I have every RIGHT to drive and if our Representatives pass laws we don't want, we need to work to get them out of office. Liberals will have you believe you have the right to free speech (although they will tell you what you can't say) and at the same time tell you government grants you the privilege to carry a gun if you fill out all the right forms, did they miss the second amendment? Was I the only one in class that day ? Oh wait, they don't teach that in school anymore.
I am a rebel at heart, I can follow rules when they make sense in fact I can recognize the reason many laws were passed in the first place but it is way too far out of hand today. For years I have been on a personal crusade to bypass every unnecessary regulation I come across, for example years ago when our state still had annual emissions testing on vehicles (thankfully they realized what a waste that was) I found a way to either exempt my vehicles or cheat the tail pipe sniffer. I hate bureaucrats who think they have to control every aspect of out lives. In most towns today if you wanted to live as pioneers did your home would be condemned and you kids taken away because they were living in a substandard housing. You would be cited for improper disposal of sewerage, untested water supply, lack of electricity. Your stove and fireplace would be a fire hazard. I am sure no running water would be a health violation, and the list goes on.
I wonder sometimes if back in the 1800's couples sat around and wondered if they had enough money to pay their wagon insurance, or property taxes or income tax or had to go get their drivers license renewed or get a building permit to build a barn or home. Did the farmers have to get approval from the EPA to clear land, did they get permission to drill a well or put in a out house
I know people say they like regulations because it keeps the neighbors in line, well if you don't want to deal with neighbors go buy 20 or more acres and build a home in the middle so you won't have to look at them. if you want to live in subdivision you have no right to complain if the neighbors have chickens or a messy yard. I might not like their junk but after all it is their property.....either move or build a tall fence (after you get a permit)
One particular congressman in central Florida was quoted during the Health Care debate as saying "we don't care about the Constitution" (BTW at that point he should have been arrested for violation of his oath) well I don't care about their stupid laws which violate my God given rights.
In closing I am not going to incriminate myself here but rest assured don't miss a chance violate unconstitutional laws. I am sick and tired of government telling me how to act and what I have to pay live in our country because I believe it is OUR country not the governments.
