I am Liberal

Why is it we let the liberal, pinko, tree hugging,dope smoking, bed wetters set the meaning for words and phrases.

I think we should take some words back from the liberals, here is a start.
I am Liberal because I believe in liberty, I don't think government should control our lives. I am liberal because I have an open mind and can think for myself, I have developed critical thinking, I can read and decipher facts and not have my mind clouded by others narrow views, this is almost the exact opposite of what 'liberals' claim to be because even in the face of facts they will say stuff like "well anyway it's just not fair" or "I just feel it is wrong" or more often they just plain ignore facts and decide not to believe them because it does not fit their agenda.
I am also Pro Choice, I choose to be free, I choose not let government decide my fate. I want to choose what kind of car to drive regardless of how many miles to the gallon it gets, I want to choose what type of gun I want and how many round of ammunition it will hold. I choose to educate my kids the way I want free of government intervention. I choose not to have government force me to buy health insurance. I choose to uphold the Constitution of the United States and not abide by all the unconstitutional laws they impose on us.
 Government hates free people because they loose their power, they prefer 'slaves' who they can control. Government suckers us into thinking we are free but really we are only 'free' as far as their chain will let us go.
Some may think this view is a little extreme but why is it government and even the IRS target free thinkers like the Tea Party, or gun groups, or home schoolers, or survivalists etc. The reason is they don't want free people, free people don't ask permission from government.
I do not ask permission from government.

For all mothers of small children, This would give all your liberal friends screaming fits.


The beauty of this setup is if a purse snatcher is running away you have a close range and long range weapon.

Sometimes Liberals don't think their actions have consequences and now the news agency which published the map of NY gun owners is getting a taste of their own medicine.
Apparently at least one blogger has posted his own map showing locations of all the news reporters homes and even pictures of some of their children and where they attend school. This has caused many of them to receive death threats and some have had to flee after receiving a white powder in the mail (even though it turned out to be harmless). The News Paper is having to pay for some of the reporters to stay in hotels because they are afraid to return home.
One of the most baffling aspects of this story is the news agency has posted armed guards at their offices to protect themselves....this I truly don't understand, why not just create a 'Gun Free Zone' around their office ?
All this does make you wonder, it there is this much backlash over the publishing of a gun owners map in a couple of counties in a liberal state like NY what kind of backlash would we see if the government tried a gun ban across the entire country.

Liberal mindset for a New Year

Today is New Years Eve, time to do some soul searching about the past and what the future may hold. Many of us 'rag' on the far left because they are easy to make fun of, they do not use any logic much of the time but I have been doing some thinking and maybe some of those liberal ideas are not so bad after all, I mean maybe it is time to try something new.

I remember back in the 60's and through the 80's there was a huge increase in teenage pregnancy and sexual transmitted diseases. This was a serious problem, people's lives were being ruined and kids were dying from Aids and such so the liberals came up with Sex Education. The idea was "kids were going to do it anyway so teach them to be safe" The schools started to teach about sex and how to use condoms and use birth control, all this got me to thinking...........
Today we have a rash of shootings, kids are dying and lives are being ruined and lets face it you can't have a policy of "Just Say No" so lets have Gun Education in the schools, lets teach kids how to handle a firearm and how destructive they can be if mishandled and how to be responsible gun owners and handlers. If teachers weren't comfortable teaching this they could employ retired police and military persons to help out, some may even volunteer their time.
The more I think about it I like it, Maybe liberal ideas aren't all bad.

Liberals and Guns.

Ever wonder why Liberals are so against guns, I mean owning a gun does not make you a killer any more that owning a fork makes you fat (OK bad example maybe it does contribute to it) but you get the point.
A killer could use a baseball bat or a car to kill but you you don't find support for banning you driving to ball games.  You see it really is not about the guns, it is about control. If the government has the guns they have control, and they want liberal government to have the control that is why they are so anti-war when conservatives are in control but how many anti-war demonstrations have you seen in the last four years?
Don't EVER get sucked into believing they are worried about the general safety of us overall. They are worried gun owners may one day foil their plans to control everything, make no mistake about it.
